Introduction To Zeta + Roadmap for 2022
What is Zeta?
Zeta's goal is to grow and become a large network of multiple tools/platforms that use the Web3 Technology powered by Theta Blockchain.
Our goal is to build great tools for developers, and easy-to-use platforms for everyday users.
Zeta name is inpired by the blockchain we are using called Theta which is taken from the eighth letter of the Greek alphabet θ. Zeta is the sixth letter of the Greek alphabet ζ.
What are we doing right now?
To start off a big project/organization like this from scratch, we need a base to build upon; something to support and fund the heavy load of our vision, that’s why we started a decentralized NFT marketplace called ZetaNFT.
ZetaNFT (previously called OpenZeta) won the Theta Q1 2022 Hackathon opening up a door for us to focus on Zeta more, and we’re still working on this platform to this day, mainly working on the security and final touches for a perfect and secure user experience.
What’s our vision for Zeta?
Our vision for Zeta is simple and our motto is: Focus on Building Not Selling.
We believe in building things that add value to the world, not in fast profit schemes. That’s why 80% of our efforts in Zeta and all projects we work on will go toward the building, and only 20% or less will go towards marketing.
Project Team
Currently, our team is still small, consisting of one developer and one designer. We will grow and expand the team when needed, but the current work can be handled by the two of us plus hiring help on sensitive stuff like smart contracts security.
2022 Plans
We have so many plans for 2022, but most of them focus only on the ZetaNFT platform and NFTs. As you can see in the roadmap below
Q2 2022
When writing this, we are working on the security of the ZetaNFT marketplace, plus getting ready for mainnet launch where we’ll airdrop a 1000 free NFT for the first 1000 users that make a trade using ZetaNFT.
Q3 2022
The current version of ZetaNFT is just an MVP, we have so much more features that we would like to implement, ranging from creating NFT drop without coding to a bidding system.
Also, we will launch at this time a public JavaScript library, that will help web3 developers to create dapps that interact with Theta Blockchain easily. We already started working on it and we have high hopes for it.
Q4 2022
In Q4 of 2022, we will have another feature update, so by the end of 2022 we will have implemented most of the features we wanted in ZetaNFT, and from there, our only concern will be to maintain the platform.
2nd thing we’ll launch is an NFT avatar project, something similar to Reddit avatar. Where users can create and have their own custom unique avatar minted as NFT, our goal is to have users and developers use it in all their dapps but we’ll see about that.
Q1 2023
If everything went well with ZetaNFT, we would love to make it more decentralized by creating a TNT20 token which is rewarded to users via their activity on the platform and contribution to Zeta GitHub and Zeta community, the holders will be able to vote and decide the future of ZetaNFT platform.
Suppose the platform become popular by the start of 2023 and we have enough developing power. In that case, we’ll make a public API for the developers to build their dapps in conjunction with ZetaNFT database and functionality.
